Fuerteventura is the second largest of the Canary Islands and boasts over 3000 hours of Sunshine a year

The popular windsurfing resort of Fuerteventura has the most amazing beaches and sand dunes ideal for achieving that perfect suntan. It has well over 100 sandy beaches to explore and is 101km long by 29km wide. Hundreds of hotels in Fuerteventura cater for the British market and you can expect a warm welcome.

A holiday in Fuerteventura means a holiday on the oldest Canary Island, which was formed around 75 million years ago. Situated just 62 miles from the coast of Morocco means that for many years sand from the Sahara desert has been swept onto Fuerteventura's shores. The result is 123 miles of some of the world's finest beaches.

The lively resort of Correlejo boasts lots of bars and restaurants as well as cheap hotels in Fuerteventura. Other resorts include Caleta de Fuste which is a man made resort with many new hotels, El Cotillo a fishing port with stunning beaches and fabulous fish restaurants for those long lazy lunches, Costa Calma with miles of white sandy beaches and Jandia on the Islands southern peninsula which boasts the Islands longest beach.

Gran Canaria is the third largest of the Canary Islands

Maspalomas offers the best beaches on the island and the resort of Playa de Ingles has a very lively nightlife scene. Situated only 78 miles from Africa, Lanzarote has the perfect year round climate for beach holidays. Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands and can be the cheapest.

Tenerife enjoys year round warmth and sunshine and is located off the coast of Africa. The Island offers a choice of cheaper hotels as there are more flights into Tenerife than any other canary Island. This brings more bookings, but also more competition and hotel cancellation, so hotel discounts in Tenerife are common.

The main resorts in south Tenerife are Playa de las Americas, Los Christianos, Los Gigantes, and Costa del Silencio which is located between the airport and Playa de las Americas. The North of the Island offers the more cloudy resort of Puerto del a Cruz.

Most activity revolves around the 2 main resorts of playa de las Americas and Los Christianos where you will find the liveliest nightlife, with bars, restaurants and night clubs a plenty. There is also a great selection of boat trips from the 2 harbours that offer dolphin and whale spotting excursions that are very popular all year round.

Things to do in Tenerife

Mount Teide is a must and stands at a massive 7456m high. There is also the Teide national park that resembles the moon in many ways.

Loro Parque is a lot of fun for all the family and tickets can be purchased at most travel offices around the Island.

The pyramids of guimar are well worth a visit along with the Saim Park, Playa de las Teresitas, Las Aguilas jungle park, El medino, Cueve anaga and the auitorio de Tenerife.
